Windows 11 is coming with lots of improvements in most key areas, and just as expected, Microsoft is refreshing the core apps too, including Paint, Snipping Tool, and even the Clock app.
And this week, the Redmond-based software giant has begun rolling out the new Clock app to Windows Insiders, though worth knowing is that not everyone is getting it at this time, using the release happening in phases.
One of the greatest changes in this new app is the addition of an element called Focus Sessions and designed to boost productivity on Windows 11.
Specifically, this selection has a focus timer, in addition to with Spotify integration to help you to easily pay attention to some tunes that help you concentrate on your work.
"Research has shown that audio reduces the chance of getting depressed by other activities. Focus Sessions supports connecting your Spotify account to help you discover the perfect audio that will help you focus," Microsoft explains in an announcement this week.
Rollout taking place in stages
In addition, the new Clock app includes Microsoft To Do integration to let you easily manage your tasks, in addition to a so-called habit builder that makes it easy to set a regular goal for a specific task.
"Select the task you would like to work on on your focus session and appearance it off once to control your emotions. Focus Sessions integrates with Microsoft To Do, helping you to manage your To complete tasks without needing to switch context. Leverage Focus Sessions to work in your tasks planned for the day and make the most out of it," the company further adds.
All of these features are presently in preview, so further refinements could be added at another time, especially as it's being released to more people in the Insider program.
